Encryption note: where end-to-end encryption is enabled for eligible communications, message and call content is encrypted between communicating users in ordinary operation. However, we may access content you specifically submit in a report, content included in unencrypted backups you choose to create, or content that is technically available to us for troubleshooting, security, or legal compliance.

If you do not enable these features, we do not need precise location to provide core messaging functionality.

Your data may be processed in India and, where permitted, in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where cross-border transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protection consistent with applicable law.

  1. Security

We use reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls, encryption where appropriate, logging, vendor controls, and security monitoring. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure, protecting OTPs and account credentials, and controlling access to your account.

  1. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

In general:

  • Account and profile data are retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
  • Undelivered messages and transient routing data are retained only as long as needed to attempt delivery or maintain service integrity, after which they are deleted or anonymized, unless law requires otherwise.
